Just wanted to send a quick update. Things have been busier than ever = lack of blog posts. I did want to mention though, that as of today, I am booked for 2010 with the exception of my baby planners and children under the age of 1. I am no longer booking family sessions, all dates are gone and with the impeding unpredictable Fall weather, I need to leave a few days open for reschedules. For those of you who are currently a baby planner, you will get in yet this year. For those of you expecting and will become a baby planner in 2010, you will get in. For those of you with a baby under the age of 1, I have only a few days left in November and December.
2010 has been my busiest season yet, thank you to everyone for such a wonderful year, it was so fun to meet each and everyone of you. I’m hoping to start posting more regularly or at least once a week. Unfortunately, I am heading into the crazy madhouse season of three kids in sports, Iowa football season tickets, and ramping up Announcing A Baby for the insane holiday card season…There is little time left in between and I’ve been focusing all my energy into getting galleries out on time and filling orders which is ultimately the best thing for my clients, although I know you all love the sneak peeks. I would like to, however, compile a collage of the last 2-3 weeks of those sessions that haven’t been blogged….we’ll see how that goes!
With the winter season just around the corner, I will once again be holding In Home Sessions. I’m really looking forward to that, some of my personal favorite images have come from the comfort of your very own home. And if you can be flexible with your schedule, I might even be able to squeeze a couple of those in for non baby planners in November and early December 2010. So if you’ve missed getting your family photos in this year, please still do email me so I can place you on a waiting list.
Have a great week, what’s left of it….and to all my clients who are Hawkeye Fans, see you Saturday. Well, maybe, amongst the 70,000 other people there!

Yep, it’s been a baby boom around here lately, these little ones have kept me b u s y, busy. Meet 9 day old baby girl, Harper. Harper did wonderful, she snuggled right in from the beginning and we sailed right through. At just 6 pounds something, this one was strong and complete perfection. Still amazing to me, these little miracles…

Last week I had the pleasure of spending some time with this sweet baby girl, Chloe, at just days old. We worked super hard to get this little one to doze off for us, and she did……for a bit. A touch of red in her hair, peach cream skin, almost good enough to eat….I’ll bet mom and dad think so too.

Here’s a long overdue sneak peek of 5 week old baby Ellia who came up to visit me last week. We caught quite of few of these smiles as she drifted in and out of sleep at the start. We had a gorgeous morning, so we stepped out for just a little bit to capture Kelli and Eric with their new baby who couldn’t look happier nestled in mom’s arms.

Short on words today, sneak peek of 3 beautiful cousins from last week. Lots of giggles, curls and ice cream!

Last Wednesday, in our lovely 100+ degree heat, I headed out with Ashley and Beau to document their pregnancy with baby #1 due to arrive this Fall. Doesn’t she look amazing?! I was a little worried the heat would be too much for Ashley, but luckily the only thing that melted that night was the Hansen’s Dairy Ice Cream I suggested they try, they were too fun! Can’t wait to meet up with these two again when baby arrives!

It has been a baby boom around here the past few days, lots and lots of NEW babies and one gorgeous mama-to-be, that post is coming soon. But first, this is 8 day old baby Camden. Camden was a rock star the day he came, we flew right threw this session while he snoozed away and gave us an occasional smile or two. Camden’s mommy and daddy just live up the street along with his big sister whom we’ve all had fun watching grow from just days old too. It’s always so much fun to have a new baby in the neighborhood to snuggle on, look forward to seeing this little one much more!

I have had so many great sessions in the last week or so, like the Bakula Family! These are some of my favorite sessions, just families having fun, fun with mom and dad, fun being 2 and 4 and oh yes, fun eating ice cream too. Don’t you just love mom’s smile?!

Quick peek of beautiful 12 day old Max. Even though we tried to lull you to sleep for nearly three hours, your audience still loves you, and I know your mommy really loves you for giving in. It was so fun to play while you slept!

When life hands you lemons, go get ice cream! This was another really fun session, 2 year old Addison. We started off at my favorite meadow but quickly discovered the mosquitos thought we were dinner. So on to plan B, we headed downtown to finish what we had started but after a bit, Adi soon decided maybe she wasn’t too keen on this picture thing. Plan C, wait, I didn’t think of a Plan C?! Some quick thinking turned into one of my favorite sessions and made for one happy little girl. Big thanks to Jane at Scratch for allowing me to come in and capture the simple joy of getting ice cream, or in this case Gelato, and time spent together as a family. After a quick sugar fix, we called it a night and headed back to our cars while capturing a few more along the way.
